Steve's story

A lifetime under the bonnet

Steve's love of cars began at his father's side, and it has never left him. What started as a boyhood fascination grew into decades of hands-on experience and, eventually, into Mortons Classic Cars, a workshop where that passion is applied to every vehicle that comes through the doors.

Steve is a firm believer in traditional methods of vehicle restoration: proper metalwork, patient preparation and attention to the smallest details. At the same time, he's never afraid to embrace modern technology where it genuinely improves the result, whether that's an unleaded fuel conversion or uprated brakes that make a classic safer to enjoy.

Steve's wife Trish shares the passion. The pair co-own a 1969 MGB Roadster, and she assists clients with consultations on colour, trim and interior selections, making every restoration a truly personal collaboration.
