1958 Austin Healey (Frogeye) Sprite

This Austin Healey Frogeye Sprite was subjected to a full ground up restoration. The car was initially stripped down to the bare shell which was sent away to be chemically dipped. This process removes all existing rust, body sealents and paints. Once returned, the works then commenced to rebuild the body shell using where necessary new panels.  Any metal damaged by rust in the remaining panels was cut out locally and new sections fabricated and welded into place.

All other components of the car are disassembled, inspected, restored and then rebuilt with new parts as required. The car was finished in an original period colour of Cherry Red and included a soft top hood as well as a hard top in matching colour.

With the exception of the process to chemically dip the body shell, specialist engine machining work and rechroming services, all the remaining works where completed by Mortons Classic Cars.
